TikTokers promise cheap deals from Chinese factories

Videos surfaced of TikTokers claiming to work at Chinese factories that make high-end products and offering to sell them directly to Americans for much cheaper due to the trade war between the U.S. and China. NBC News’ Camila Bernal looks closely to see if these claims are valid.  For more context and news coverage of the most important stories of our day, click here: https://www.nbcnews.com

  1. Made in Asia

  2. All luxury products are made in China, then labels like "Made in Italy," "France," or "USA" are put on them. People, without knowing the truth, end up paying $30,000 thinking they’re buying originals, when in reality that bag isn’t worth more than $100. What I also want to tell you is that the media will never tell you the truth, because they’re paid by corporations to lie to you, claiming the products are made in the USA, when that’s not the case.

There’s a Chinese philosophy that says, “Respect the hands that feed you.” 🍲🌿

  4. @dailyvictory6656 April 18, 2025 at 5:30 am

Get directly from the manufacturer. Makes sense.

  5. I’m surprised. Where did people think this stuff was made?

  6. This is THE dumbest move from
China EVER. Nobody will want to use factories in China any more.

  7. I’m in entrepot trade. I have visited factories in China. They produce all brands from the low end to the high end, and they have rich human skills and high-end equipment. Once these brands leave China, they can’t produce the same quality at all. Including those famous brand bags, the labels are also made in China. The West takes them back and packs them and sells them to the whole world at a high price😂😂

  8. All those designers glasses frames are made in Guangzhou. Sold for less than $5

  9. @ourbeautifularts3011 April 18, 2025 at 5:35 am

Will you produce your product in China after watching this? Chinese manufacturers took the production money and secretly sell your products making illegal profits, now they are shouting to your customers on TikTok to buy your designs from them directly.

  10. Owwww i would sue

  11. @一片祥和台上台下 April 18, 2025 at 5:38 am

whatever the supplier in USA or EU could outsource their orders to chinese factories so yes, after the order filled and delivered to america and european factories that are genuine make in UAS or EU

  12. Cat is outta the bag

  13. @Mariothegamer4mobile April 18, 2025 at 5:39 am

    😂so fake

  14. Go visit China & see with your own two eyes ,instead of arguing listening to fake news!

  15. It’s probably fake, but what stopping stupid american to believe fake news and their president ?

  16. The only products these luxury companies make in-house are their couture clothing and accessories. Most of the rest are mass-produced in countries like China and Vietnam

  17. US and Europe keep talking about authentication and yet no factories or workshops has been shown

  18. They made in Chinatown NYC. SAME THING

  19. @hiratiomasterson4009 April 18, 2025 at 5:52 am

Consultant here with experience in supply chain. When the large brands state phrases like "We do not work with the manufacturers mentioned", that is strictly speaking true. There are agents/owners representatives/consultants that act as the contact point between the factory and the brand. These individuals generally have extensive networks of contacts, excellent language skills and experience in knowing the brand needs, the factory capabilities and the logistics providers. Sometimes the factories will also set up a separate entity that acts in this capacity. It ads both plausible deniability for the brand.

Also, depending on a few other things, taking a near finished Chinese imported bag, adding some labels as the final production step allows the bag to be qualified as "Made in Italy" if that is where the label is added.

  20. Where is the site , they selling products?

  21. If they were lying they would not put there face on camera. It’s illegal to scam in China if caught. These people are not hiding one bit. The news is part of the propaganda train.

  22. Here is the catch guys: Lululemon said 3% of my FINISHED products. What that means is a product without some tag is made in China for a dollar, it is bulk shipped to US and gets a tag sowed or glued on. Gets a Made in the USA sticker, and a $70 price tag. It still pales in comparision to true luxry like LV…where a $10 bag is transformed to $2000🤣

  23. @mysteriousu5528 April 18, 2025 at 5:58 am

Thank goodness, I never buy high end designer brand clothes and handbags or shoes.

I buy quality clothing and accessories that are reasonably priced and says "Made in China". No surprise there for me as I know China has been mastering infrastructure since that late 80s.

  24. Any surprise? It’s NOT a secret in China for decades…

  25. Once you hear the words "FACT CHECK" 🙄 You already know what’s up!!!😂🤣😅

  26. Mainstream media twisting and bending hoping people believe them. 😂 We know the TAGS with the brand names aren’t going to be on them but are the same. Wheres lululemons factory here … they’re scrambling to make something up.

  27. @doctor_biggs_unit April 18, 2025 at 6:01 am

Great a thing that nobody cares what legacy media says. Their best form of damage control is to lie and unleash propaganda.

  28. Of course it’s true. These its being like these for decades. Look at Switzerland. They allow to stamp in their watches Swiss Made if the watch was is 60% manufactured in Switzerland. Tag Heur use Seiko parts and it also many of those parts are made in China. That is why these luxury bags and other items are burned and not sold cheap when they over produce them if they cost so much to manufactured they will not burn them. Of you are not rich don’t pay for brands, you are burning you hard earned $$$.

  29. The whole world knows manufacturing starts with China.

  30. Never going to do Business with china again, stealing patents and showing them. China is donne

  31. Trump taking it out on the world when these corps and companies should be the ones held accountable. I don’t see any executive orders to stop companies from outsourcing i

  32. I always wonder how can a handbag cost 20k

  33. Go to China & see with your own two eyes …less talk , less mistakes! 👍👍👍

  34. @FruncióELceño April 18, 2025 at 6:10 am

*"Made in Europe by the most talented craftsmen" 🤣…THE BIGGEST LIE IN HISTORY*

  35. @chickaboomboom2726 April 18, 2025 at 6:11 am

NBC NEWS FORGOT THAT MANY U.S COMPANIES MOVED TO CHINA. ITS FUNNY WHEN NBC NEWS GET AMNESIA WHEN THE TRUTH COMES OUT. PEOPLE ARE SHOPPING WITH CHINA. WHY WOULD THEY PAY A FORTUNE FOR GOODS THEY CAN GET CHEAPER.

  36. @debbievianna7710 April 18, 2025 at 6:12 am

    😂😂😂. Nice

  37. @shahrulazlisabli3232 April 18, 2025 at 6:13 am

  38. @heathermichael3987 April 18, 2025 at 6:14 am

  39. Good Job China❤

  40. Show yall factories then!

  41. Lululemon spokesperson confirmed their products made in China. I can guarantee you there are no SKILLED workers in the US and EU available to make these products

  42. SHOPPING SPREE LOADING…………….

  43. @debbievianna7710 April 18, 2025 at 6:20 am

I want to see all riches face right now 😅

  44. iphone only costs 30usd to produce but hyperinflated to 1200usd for western consumers by the companies for a greater profit margin.

  45. They don’t respond because they know their crap is made in China and I’m sick of being lied to! #FACT although I’m very proud to say I’ve never purchased a one of those products and never will… I’m not stupid enough to believe that it* is truly made in the USA only!😂😂😂 egg on your face Trump how much is that crap does your wife own?!

  46. Celine Dion seen buying fake bags and clothes in China in 2008. Check the old news. She is the earliest one knew how to get luxury products in China.

  47. Let’s make China Great Again!!!! MAGA Slogan 😂😂😂

  48. Lululemon is a joke so as Louis Vuitton

  49. So where are the Lululemon products produced? That is actually the question. Not where to buy.
