The 7 Best High Yield Savings Accounts of 2025

The 7 Best High Yield Savings Accounts of 2025

In this video we’re looking at the 7 best high yield savings accounts of 2025! These high yield savings accounts are paying some of the best rates of 3.75% APY to 4.75% APY as of filming this. The bank accounts in this video also come with some other really great features that make them stand out as a great place to save money. If you have some cash savings and you need a better savings account, then definitely consider opening one of these top high yield savings accounts because you can earn a lot of interest.

My personal choice for bank accounts is SoFi Checking and Savings (https://danielbraun.me/SoFi) which pays a competitive high yield savings rate and comes with a lot of other additional benefits as well, including a sign up bonus. Other savings accounts in this video are also very good and each one is FDIC insured, has no fees or minimum balance requirements, and has a great long term reputation. There’s plenty of great high yield savings accounts mentioned here, but you can also find other bank accounts that pay a competitive rate with FDIC coverage. These are just my opinion of the best high yield savings accounts based on what I’ve tried over the years and the feedback of my viewers!

  1. Ufb direct?

  2. So, for sofi, you only get the 300 dollar sign on bonus if you get a deposit of 5,000? Not just because you set up an account for direct deposit.

  3. Guys wich bank do you recomend to me im 15 years old and i want to open my first savings account.

  4. Apparently, the "buckets" feature from Ally is garbage and almost never works.

  5. Just got an email saying my Sofi account was going to 3.8% down from 4% so time to do some looking around

  6. @StockMarketVisualization February 27, 2025 at 6:45 pm

Fantastic video! 📊🔥 Understanding market movements is key to smarter investing. 🚀 On my channel, I use dynamic charts to bring stock market trends to life. Check it out! 👀📈

  7. can you recommend HYSA where I can have different savings account and invest, too? I have SOFI rn. I’m thinking about Ally.

  8. I thought I had it all figured out, but Richsterius Autopilot Money changed everything. It completely rewired my way of thinking.

  9. I’m older and disabled. $ isn’t a thing i really have. Especially after losing my husband suddenly. But i appreciate the content. I’m learning so that my sons future is better and better.

Thanks you have a new sub!

  10. You missed the mark on these! Redneck bank on their checking account does 4.65% and their mega money market account does 4.40% !!! I’ve been using them for years and they are great!

  11. I have 30k that I want to add money to so I’m gonna do this

  12. As a self employed I am required to direct deposit $5000 to get the 3.80% so I am cancelling my account

  13. @brandonwesley2344 February 27, 2025 at 6:53 pm

    is wealthfront a good option?

  14. @stephaniewhitehead6974 February 27, 2025 at 6:53 pm

I like SOFI a lot however when I started with them their rate was 4.6 APY…..now it’s 3.8 APY.

  15. Please be considerate that apy rates can change and whatever rates you start off with can change within months, years etc. please don’t rely on this a main financial payment, this is more like a bonus you get from work and 3.8% or 4% apy is still better than getting nothing for just having your money sit somewhere🤷🏻‍♀️

  16. @SebastianRodriguez-uh5rd February 27, 2025 at 6:56 pm

Sofi doesn’t allow me to open a bank account since I’m from Puerto Rico:/

  17. @randomthoughtstoday February 27, 2025 at 6:57 pm

Chose Ally because i wanted to keep my checking elsewhere and not do direct deposit with SoFi

  18. Damn. This video just made me feel soooo much smarter. Absolutely excellent video thank you so much. This was amazing and sooo informative.

  19. AMX High Yield Savings gives me 4.05 percent monthly return, over 100k.

  20. With SoFi… is there any in person banking option? I always have issues with check online deposits. Im an entrepreneur, so no direct deposits. Its hard to find rhe best option.

  21. 3:31 does the direct deposit have to be transferred to the SoFi savings to get the 3.8% or can it go into their checking

  22. @vincentjuarez5324 February 27, 2025 at 7:04 pm

Is school first a good credit union???

  23. side note but F*CK discover. One time there was an error on their end on a payment i made. i made it on time, their system did not register it and faulted me for a late payment. I was able to remove the late payment but guess what, when that faulty late payment hit, they dropped my credit card from 10,000 to 500 (keep in mind, I’ve had their card for 4 years without a single missed payment. i was spending thousands on that. i asked for the 10k again, they said no, i gotta do it slowly again.

  24. I started with marcus at 4.5. Now its at 3.9. Laurel road as well at 4.5. Now its 3.8. Does anybody know why they keep dropping?

  25. @kartikeydwivedi8752 February 27, 2025 at 7:08 pm

Why no one is talking about openbank by Santander offering 4.75% on HYSA account

  26. Sofi keeps dropping. They just went to 3.8%

  27. soFis only good if u have the money to deposit to the savings account every 30 days

  28. @bradenastolos9624 February 27, 2025 at 7:11 pm

    UFB direct?

  29. Which account is the best hysa that I can spend money out of and is fdic insured for a large amount?

  30. I started using SoFi in 2023 and have really liked it, especially the vaults and investing options. I’ve been using it for direct deposit since then. Initially, the interest rate was 4.3%, then it dropped to 4.0%, and now it’s down to 3.80%. Has anyone else seen their rate change to 3.80%? I’m considering exploring other options if it stays at this rate.

  31. Cap 1 customer service is terrible, you get no respect at all

  32. SoFi vs American Express?

  33. i should i switch to an actual bank soon? im currently in wealthfront..

  34. Why does Sofi’s APY keep going down? It used to be 4.60% and now it’s only 3.80%

  35. Would you recommend opening an account with Pibank. They have a pretty high rate recently comparatively to other hysas at the moment.

  36. @yamatomusashi1412 February 27, 2025 at 7:21 pm

Discover hands down best customer service 👍👍👍

  37. If I open the sofi account with 5k+ do I get the bonus 300 or do I need to also have direct deposit set up?

  38. = Hey question what about UFB savings account ❓

  39. I didn’t realize how much I was in the dark until I read Richsterius Autopilot Money. It opened my eyes in ways I didn’t expect.

  40. I had no idea how much I was missing until I read Richsterius Autopilot Money. It made everything I thought I knew seem irrelevant.

  41. I used one bank I consider changing

  42. @SiriMalateshKademani February 27, 2025 at 7:32 pm

SoFi has reduced the APY from 4.5% to 3.8%. Not sure how accurate the data you presented is. I also have both checking and savings with DD set up!

  43. BrioDirect from Webster Bank currently pays 4.55%, ZYNLO Money Market currently pays 4.4%, ZYNLO HYSA currently pays 4.35%, Western Alliance HYSA currently pays 4.3%, PayPal Savings is currently at 4%… As of this writing Bask is down to 4.35% and LendingClub is down to 4.5% – still great contenders but BrioDirect is keeping the lead and is thus my primary savings. I currently have 20k sitting in CapitalOne in order to get a bonus after 3 months, but it is otherwise not ideal as it’s only 3.8%, so as soon as I get the bonus that money is moving back into a higher-yield account. SoFi is currently also at 3.8% – I only keep a SoFi account open to receive Zelle payments and then transfer it out, and that’s only until my Discover checking account is 90 days old, as it will then allow Zelle transfers and it’s debit card offers 1% cash back as mentioned in this video. ZYNLO checking pays 2% and has become my primary checking.

  44. I feel like I’m looking for something very specific but don’t know much. As a first gen immigrant my mom doesn’t really know how to help. I’m a stay at home mom who was gifted $2000. I want to save this money in savings account but I make no income so monthly fees aren’t a choice.

  45. @justawanderer-dg28 February 27, 2025 at 7:34 pm

    You missed Robinhood.

  46. Do you have a suggestion or are there other opportunities if you deposit large amounts of funding?

  47. Western Alliance has 4.3%, no fees, fdic

  48. Federal Reserve is not having it tbh. All of these savings accounts are dropping 😢

  49. Not current. As of 1-3-25: Ally Savings only 3.80; ForbrightBank 4.25%; Lending Club 4.59% with monthly deposit of $250; Newtek 4.55%
