Not all dorms have trash cans, and if you were taught how to properly clean and put away clothes, then you won’t even need a steamer, and I would get a laptop to replace your TV idea and don’t be like this guy and plug everything into one outlet you can still overload the wall outlet not all surge protectors are equal

Biggest tip: your dorm may already have items, but don’t assume they’re going to be in a condition you’re comfortable using, as hundreds of dirty, lazy, and incompetent new adults with no one teaching them how to be better have used them before you, and I promise your college hasn’t cleaned them.

It really depends on your situation. A TV was a no-brainer for me since i need background noise for sleep. My dorm room had no trash cans, even in the shared bathroom.
In another video Gohar says to maybe not waste your time bringing utensils if you have a dining plan, but if you’re a night owl who has dinner at 10:00 like me, you’ll wanna bring utensils when all the dining halls are closed.
If you’re new to college, i promise, it’s not as scary as it seems. You can always buy what you need when you get there if there are necessities that you’re missing. You’ve got this kid.🤟
