He paid $300, BUT he did say he put in around $1000 to do some things on shortly after buying it.. Not exactly $300
After two and a half years, i’m continuing to drive the 2000 Nissan Frontier with a manual transmission that I inherited from my father, and it has over 260k miles on it, and it still starts and runs every time. It has some rotted out rust in parts of the tailgate, but I own it free and clear and it is stupidly reliable and simple to maintain and like a lot of other people in this comment section, I am not going to get rid of it as long as it keeps running and serving me well.Regardless of what anybody says!
Another tip is to know your used cars — for Example, a Pontaic Vibe is basically a Toyota Matrix as they both use a Toyota engine basically, and look similar but one is GM / Pontaic and the other is Toyota. So sometimes you could get the Vibe for a lot cheaper than a Matrix.

I took Scotty’s advice five years ago and bought a 94 Celica. It was a one owner and I bought it for $ 600.00 bucks. BEST money I have ever spent on a used car period. ❤ Listen to Scotty Folks. He is a Genius.

he says he bought it 8 years ago for $300 that was 8 years ago not today then he says currently you can get a decent vehicle for about $1,000 even a good Toyota with 240,000 Mi is going to need a lot of service as a buyer you’re going to be inheriting all those problems and lack of services and maintenance is I recommend going the opposite find retirement communities wait for somebody to die or lose their license due to age and you can usually get a really low mileage great taken care of car for well below Blue Book another good one is military bases because they get transferred and can’t take the vehicles
