I am a licensed Esthetician and I have used off the charts expensive brands that were a huge letdown and drugstore products that were incredible. I feel that whatever works for one, They should use it! We are not all made the same.
i’m a dermatologist do not use regular soap on your face. It’s more harsh and it’s meant for your body plus it’s more strong if you don’t want to use pricey skin care just wash your face with cold water
I’ve havent tried dove, but I’ve tried Dial unscented bar soap on my acne-prone skin and it works amazing!!! I’m never going back to a regular facial cleanser LOL
i just cant stand any liquid cleansers. so i’ve been using bar soap my whole life – and its ok. 42, almost no wrinkles. right now i use aleppo soap for body and face once a week. as a part of every day routine i wash my face with oatmeal + besan flour. and i take shower twice a day with only water + cleaning… special parts with – omg – soap in the evening. i love soap, pure, basic soap – castile, aleppo, baby soap… no issues for me, only cleanliness and comfort
lol we did this as millennials in the early 2000s and it dried the shiz out of our skin and then you overcompensated by putting Nivea thick cream on your face. It’s not cute. God bless cleansers.
If you have acne-prone skin, it could make it worse. The pH is very high which can lead to breakouts. 😅 That was my experience, too. I think it has something to do with how stripping (and sudsy) it is, so the skin will produce more oil to compensate.
was using cerave’s SA cleanser for ages and my skin would never clear up, until i started using the dove bar consistently and my acne was so much better. so, yeah, it’s great for teenage/sensitive combo skin.
I’ve started doing this after running out of face wash one day and I don’t think I’ll ever waste money on anything but bar soap to wash my face ever again 🙂
I have been using this to wash my face since high school. I use the sensitive skin dove bar soap. I’m 26 now and it’s the best cleanser that doesn’t make me breakout plus it’s not expensive.
I do this too, and i genuinely love how my skin feels after. I have super dry skin, and this is the only method after which my skin doesn’t feel like it’s being stretched a million different ways once its dry. Sometimes I even forget to put moisturizer on, because i just don’t notice it as much.
Bycott dove please do not support israeel
I have been washing my face and even Hair with the dove soap for a month and I’m loving it!!!
Gonna work for oily skin?
Marketing/capitalism makes us think we can’t use certain products for things that are not written on its label. Love this
especially the dove soap
Guys what moisturiser would be good w this for dry acne prome skin ? ( I’m someone who prefers like a thick moisturiser in ajar Yk )
I use sulfur soap bars! I suffer from rosacea and never ever would I use a dive bar to clean my face.
Be wise and buy smart!

my face was breaking out, and i didn’t knew why, i started taking my makeup with dove soap bar and boom, my acnes where all gone
I actually use the sensitive bar
Doesn’t feel like the regular soap because it’s packed with moisture cream and it clears my acne single handedly
I’ve havent tried dove, but I’ve tried Dial unscented bar soap on my acne-prone skin and it works amazing!!! I’m never going back to a regular facial cleanser LOL
The genocide bar? No thanks. I’ll stick to acid water than that bar of blood
I use dial soap bars and my skin is the clearest it’s ever been! The soaps are also super inexpensive and last me forever!!
What’s the game here? Selling that Dove®️ beauty bar®️? Or telling people you don’t need products for good skincare?
People’s skin have different needs. _If_ you have skin concerns, you *need* to use specific products. If you don’t, use whatever floats your boat.
That soap bar would not be enough for a lot of people. It will also be actually bad for some people.
"Just use this" is some of the most ignorant thing ever.
Wait, what else is it for? Or did I not get the joke
Funny I did that and it gave me cystic acne… lol 😊
Girl tysm i wash my face with this and i see everyone using all these fancy cleansers that i prob cant afford 🙁
Works for people with normal skin unlike me. I can feel my skin drying out and bleeding just thinking about it.
This is actually so true while double cleansing
During winters I go in with the micellar water + cotton pad and then washing it off with the soap

Breaking news: you can use soap in the exact way it was intended to be used?
If you have acne-prone skin, it could make it worse. The pH is very high which can lead to breakouts. 😅 That was my experience, too. I think it has something to do with how stripping (and sudsy) it is, so the skin will produce more oil to compensate.
Not figuratively though…
No, it doesn’t, not good for oily and sensitive skin.
Been there, done that.

was using cerave’s SA cleanser for ages and my skin would never clear up, until i started using the dove bar consistently and my acne was so much better. so, yeah, it’s great for teenage/sensitive combo skin.
I’m so lost… what’s so shocking?? It’s soap??
What’s the spray?
you can, doesnt mean you should or that it works for everyone but yeah prove it girl! so smart.
LOL consumerism going back in circles
Except dove is on the international BDS boycott list
I’ve started doing this after running out of face wash one day and I don’t think I’ll ever waste money on anything but bar soap to wash my face ever again 🙂
I am a teenager and I am using it over 5 months and my skin is so flawless now
