So in other words car dealerships are evil. This is why I only buy my cars from 100% online from start to finish no human interaction dealerships. The way it should be. That’s the reason in the past I don’t feel bad for walking out of the dealership and not turning back, because the dealer isn’t the one that has to come up with the monthly payment.
A broker advertised on line a new car at a local dealer; the out the door price was really good compared to others I had checked. I showed up with a cashier’s check, and after a quick test drive, agreed to the purchase. They did have six dealer add on’s which I declined. Did the paper work, and off I went in a new Honda Accord.
Yeah.. kinda dumb video. Maybe this works in the US but I’m in Ontario Canada and the customer doesn’t really get a bad deal ever. It doesn’t work in our favor. We have intelligent customers and we treat them well, make a modest profit on each and win in volume. Simple as that. We make a good living but it takes a hell or a lot of deals to get there.
I’ll tell them my monthly budget isn’t much of anything and then pay cash anyways. Let them lower the price in thinking they can get interest payments out of me, but then… nope!
Also, a few weeks before you’re going to buy a car, start going there every Saturday to window shop and test drive. This sets the stage that you’re not desperate.
In 40 years a lot has changed. You’re speaking as if the industry is like back in the 80-90s. I love driving Ferraris after the test drive but I’m not dumb enough to pay for it😂. Now if your stupid than this video is for you, don’t get fooled by videos like these where easy clickbait will make you pay for their service or get a deal on a horrible car. Jesus
go thru your bank , always focus on price negotiations , offer 3 to for 4k below asking . they will say no so act uninterested and leave. they will call you back to negotiate price. I got my 2023 honda touring for 25k they wants 28.5 . You can get a good deal if you haggle
i have a bad credit which 599 i had a car for a whole and made all payments on time but some idiot crushed my car in the car so now i have to get to work and i wanna buy a car to use for my other job. basically i found a car since my credit is bad i told them i wanna put 13k down to approved for that car of 43k but im keep getting declines from banks they are telling me
I just bought a new used 2020 ford escape hybrid 42k miles. i did eveything from your other videos, delt through phone and emails, got finacing (but horrible (17.5%) before i started looking), got the OTD and went with the best one (22795), and i said i will apply through you guys if you can beat my finacing i already have . they called me back and said with my co-signer we got you 12.6% @ 60 months. i was thinking ok $450 a month prefect just what i was hoping for! but they said $530 they said bank wanted a warranty that added $3800 and they were adding a oil changes for for 24 months or 20000 miles.
i signed but feel like they got me in the end cause of the bank asked warranty! is that a thing? can i say no thank you? or is that part of the bank deal?
in the end they swapped my cosigner (my mom) as the buyer cause of my credit, and cause she lives in a better tax area my monthly dropped to $520.
I love the car, was super stoked, but as i said feel they got me with the bank asked warranty for a extra 3800k
Repeat after me: "what is the final OTD price". If dealer won’t answer, leave. If you get to finance table and that agreed on OTD price now has extras, leave. Simple.
I’ve owned 3 new vehicles in my life, and I nought them all for under invoice price with a few thousand dollars of manufacturer incentives at the end of the model year. Sadly, those days seem to be over.
I bought a car at the price I wanted by putting my offer out, holding firm, and walking out when they “couldn’t accommodate that price cause they would be losing money.” The manager chased me down in the parking lot before I drove off and told me they’d take my offer. I then upset the finance guy in the back by not letting him play any games with unnecessary warranties or maintenance to inflate the final price. Be firm and be willing to walk away
I’ll be driving my gas guzzling 2011 Nissan Xterra Pro-4X until I die at this rate. I also don’t care if it looks old and has old technology. I’m boycotting the new vehicle industry.
I paid 2k under msrp while everyone else was paying 2k over during covid for a specific vehicle. As soon as a salesman refused to give me the price the price I was looking to pay I hung up and talked to another one who gave me the price immediately at the same dealership. The other guy was mad at me when he saw me walk into the dealership to buy the vehicle. I knew it was him when he looked at me all irritated and angry, haha!
I hate shit like this.. it’s stupid.. don’t go into a dealership thinking you get to pay whatever you want.. you can’t outsmart a car sales person.. they’re just doing their job.. you’re being an asshole and they work on commission only

Got it. Look bored as possible and dissapointed at what they are offering, but excited on having open disscussions.
I’ve been in Toyota sales for 2 years and we’ve never marked something up like that
Can I take your dad with me when I buy my next car? 😃

Wow you are genius STOP LIAS
Isn’t it a given that you like/ love the car if you’re test driving it?
you saved me 8k thank you
Thanks dad
him calling his dad cute is so wholesome 😂

I’m gonna say all those things, watch the dealer get excited and then before the signing say I’ve got an emergency and leave. 😂
"INCONCEIVABLE!!!" ~ Vizzini
Never go to a car dealer… Buy it from a mechanic.
What kind of advice is this?
Did you just admit to scamming people who love a car? Are you proud of being a slimy piece of shit?
AWEE ❤ you two are adorable 😍
The most honest of car salesman will still be forced by the dealer to do scummy things if they want to stay employed.
I’ll tell them my monthly budget isn’t much of anything and then pay cash anyways. Let them lower the price in thinking they can get interest payments out of me, but then… nope!

I walked out on a deal over a $160 market adjustment. We need to stop that crap immediately
Why has everything in America become a scam

There is no shortage of cars.
You can tell this old man has screwed over a lot of people in his life
🦾🦾👣✅✅✅
What does he think of dealerships? Should we still have them or switch to a buy from the manufacturer?
Wow! Great advice! Totally worked for me. I got 9.75% APR with great credit. on a 2017 Kia Only $972.32 a month for 72 months
Repeat after me: "what is the final OTD price". If dealer won’t answer, leave. If you get to finance table and that agreed on OTD price now has extras, leave. Simple.
Not just car. Everything else too. My mom always taught me not to give compliment or show excitement on something if the price is negotiable.
Did you just call your dad cute?
Market adjustment is also known as stupid tax because only the stupid will pay it. I want to know the dealers cost of the car.
What? These are all incredibly stupid. You obviously have to talk about payments, and you obviously have to talk about what youre trading in.
It’s not "don’t talk about monthly payments" its "DONT SAY I DONT CARE ABOUT PRICE AS LONG AS YOU ONLY CHARGE ME 800 A MONTH," whobsays that?
And who would ever say "Ill go home today if you ONLY CHARGE ME 4K OVER ASKING PRICE?"
HAHAHHA
I’ve owned 3 new vehicles in my life, and I nought them all for under invoice price with a few thousand dollars of manufacturer incentives at the end of the model year. Sadly, those days seem to be over.
I just fed all of those things lol luckily I also walked out. They could not give me a deal I liked.

How about when they dont have the car your looking for? They ask you for a deposit to get the car you want
Who the hell would say they don’t care what their payments are?

Crazy how us human try our best to screw each other over every single day but then we go home and pretend that we like each other😅
